Open any machine and press Duplicate, next to Check history. You get the new-machine form with the make, model, type, fuel, cost figures and the whole servicing schedule already filled in from the one you copied.
What it deliberately leaves blank: the serial, asset ID, registration and the hours or mileage. Those belong to one machine, and two machines sharing a serial is a fault rather than a shortcut. A brand new blower also starts on zero hours, so it can't inherit the last one's service countdown.
The name is suggested, not fixed. "Blower 3" becomes "Blower 4", and a name with no number on the end gets one, so "Echo Leaf Blower" becomes "Echo Leaf Blower 2". It checks what's already in your yard and skips anything taken, so duplicating the same machine ten times gives you ten different names rather than ten clashes. Change it before you press Create if you'd rather call it something else.
Nothing is shared afterwards. Each machine keeps its own costs, its own history, its own servicing intervals and its own check records. Copying is only about the typing.
