Closed days (bank holidays & shutdowns)

Declare days the business is closed — visits move, leave books itself, the office is told.

Go to Settings → Operations → Closed days and switch it on. Add dates two ways: paste your own (one per line), or tap Add UK bank holidays to pull the official gov.uk list in one go.

When a closed day is added, three things happen automatically:

  1. Visits move — anything scheduled that day shifts to the next open day (it respects your working week, so a 6-day firm keeps Saturdays).
  2. Leave books itself — everyone gets the day recorded as Company closure leave. It never touches their holiday allowance.
  3. You're told — a notification lists exactly what moved and who got leave.

Appointments are never auto-moved (they're commitments to a customer) — you're flagged to handle those yourself. Removing a closed day removes its leave too; visits that already moved stay where they are. Visits generated later can't land back on a closed day — a nightly sweep keeps them off.
