Switch the ❄️ gritting pack on in Settings and you get the full winter operation:
- Site setup: mark sites as gritting sites with a price per visit (or covered under contract) and how much grit each needs.
- Frost alerts: SwardOps watches the forecast and tells your office which gritting sites look like they'll need a visit this week.
- Proof you were there: crews run a grit run on their phone: GPS traces the route into a coverage map, with salt used logged. That trace is your slip-and-fall liability evidence.
- Proof-of-service certificate: every run becomes a one-page PDF certificate — site, date and times, operative, salt used, distance covered, the GPS trace plotted to scale, and the air temperature at the time of treatment (looked up for the site's location and stamped on the run, so it can't drift later). Open it from the visit page or the Gritting board; each run also has a customer copy link that goes out on the visit report and can be handed straight to a customer or insurer if a slip claim ever lands. Certificates are numbered (GR-date-ref) and always regenerate from the original run record.
- Billing & stock: completed runs invoice per visit in one tap (or roll into contracts), salt stock draws down automatically with reorder alerts, and the season board shows every site's runs, salt and revenue across the winter.
